Edward McKenzie is the Owner of EMCO Management, LLC in the Virgin Islands and EMCO Management USA, LLC in Miami, Florida. He currently resides in sunny Miami, Florida, but travels on a consistent basis to the Virgin Islands. As an avid traveler, he is no stranger to the excitement that travel brings. When he is not working, you can find Ed exploring new, exciting destinations.
Some of the places that Edward McKenzie has visited in recent years include Iceland, hitting the slopes in Park City Utah for Christmas, and exploring the local attractions in Peru. He looks to travel as an opportunity for an eye-opening experience, and considers some of his travels with his two sons to be some of his best memories. His two sons are both avid travelers themselves, and join Ed on trips whenever possible. His youngest son is a successful, world-class sailor, while his oldest son is building a successful career in business consulting.
Experience
In addition to EMCO Management, LLC, and EMCO Management USA, LLC, Edward McKenzie was also the Managing Director of Solar Systems, LLC, from 2009-2014. He got a start in his career as an Associate for Rogers & Wells, New York, NY, and also had the opportunity to serve as Vice President of Thomas McKinnon Securities, also in New York. His career would continue to evolve, becoming the Executive VP and General Counsel at The Realvest Group in Hudson County, NJ before returning to the practice of law as a Partner and Real Estate and Corporate Transactional Department Chair at Bressler, Amery & Ross, Morristown, NJ and Partner and Corporate and Transactional Attorney at Graham, Curtin & Sheridan, Morristown, NJ. Edward’s accomplished law career has given him a unique perspective and expertise within real estate entrepreneurship, which is something that he continues to use to his advantage whenever given the chance.
Edward McKenzie received his undergraduate degree from American University with a focus in Political Science, later going on to study at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. From there, he graduated from Georgetown University Law Center.
TRAVELS
Edward McKenzie has traveled extensively throughout his life, starting when he was only a teenager. He had the opportunity to travel through Europe as a teen, before returning to attend graduate school in Madrid. During his time in Madrid, Edward took advantage of the opportunity to travel through parts of Europe that he had not previously visited. In later years, Ed explored China, Latin America, the entire Caribbean, and most of North America. Other places he has visited in recent years include Belize, Panama, Iceland, Brazil and points unknown. Increasingly Ed has turned his travel attention away from the tourist sites, toward museums of fine art, quality restaurants and interesting vineyards.
